Guide to Pisa Hotels & Bed and Breakfasts

Pisa, Italy offers a variety of choices for an overnight stay. Of course many people come here for a simple day trip from Florence, but there are many places to stay in Pisa. If you are looking for a cheap Pisa hotel or Pisa bed and breakfast, you will find a variety of options that will suit almost any style of traveler.

One benefit of staying in Pisa is that you can get an early start on some of the popular tourist attractions, such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa (or Torre Pendente), or the cathedral. It also will give you a chance to explore some of Pisa’s streetscapes, cafes and restaurants when all of the day-trippers have left.

Here’s a look at some of Pisa’s spots for an overnight stay:

Hotel Alessandro della Spina

Via Alessandro della Spina 2 / 7 / 9, 56125 Pisa, Italy (39 050 502 777)

$127+ nightly; 3 stars

This hotel offers basic clean rooms. It’s within a short walking distance from many of the main sites in Pisa, such as the Leaning Tower. The rooms are average sized. It’s also a quick walk from the train station for those riding the train from Florence. The 16-room hotel has breakfast, as well.

Hotel Minerva

Piazza Giuseppe Toniolo, 20, 56125 Pisa, Italy (39 050 501 559)

$149+ nightly; 2.5 stars

This is a good base for tourists in Pisa for sightseeing. It’s less than ten minutes by foot from the train station, however it has no elevator. So ask for a room on one of the lower floors if you’d rather not deal with stairs and luggage. It has a nice garden terrace

Hotel Villa Kinzica

2 Piazza Arcivescovado, 56126 Pisa, Italy (39 050 551 204)

$100+ nightly; 2 stars

This 33-room hotel offers basic rooms for travelers. Ask for a room that faces the Leaning Tower. This hotel has reasonable rates for basic accommodations. It’s a short walk to many tourist hot spots.

Hotel Milano

Via Mascagni, 14, 56125, Pisa, Italy (39 050 23 162)

This is a quick walk from the train station and has 10 rooms that are amply sized. It offers breakfast.

Hotel Relais dell'Orologio

Via della Faggiola 12-14, 56126 Pisa, Italy (39 050830361)

$140+ nightly; 3 stars

This boutique hotel has 16 rooms and 5 suites. It used to be a private family palace but turned into a hotel in 2003. There are many antiques, art and fireplaces. This hotel is within a short walking distance from the Field of Miracles. It offers comfortable rooms with helpful service.

Royal Victoria Hotel

Lungarno Pacinotti 12, 56126 Pisa, Italy (39 050 940 111)

$150+ nightly; 3 stars

This is a spot that people like Charles Dickens and Charles Lindbergh stayed at while in Pisa. It’s a short walk to the Field of Miracles and Leaning Tower of Pisa. It has a total of 48 rooms, but not all of them have an in-room bathroom. So be sure to ask for one that does if that’s important to you.
